“Alguses arvasin, mis ta siis ära ei ole. Reaalsus oli aga hoopis teine.”  Avame Rae Golfi blogi rubriigi koos Maarjaga, kes leidis tee golfi juurde üsna hiljuti. Rohelise, kuid väga kirgliku golfarina on ta mängima meelitanud terve oma pere ning Maarja arust ongi kõige nauditavam golfi mängida koos terve perega.

Maarja, millega Sinu päevad peamiselt sisustatud on? 
Minu elu on juba 26-aastast olnud seotud ilumaailmaga. Tegelen juuksur-koolitajana Kadrioru ilusalongis. Salongi nimeks on Lokitangid, mis on ühtlasi ka meeleolu ja interjööri salong.

Alustasid golfiga 2020 aastal. Miks just Golf? 
Juhtusin golfi väljakust mööda sõitma ja avastasin enda jaoks kui äge ja kutsuv see on! 
Minuga on üldse naljakas lugu. Tutvusin Rae Golfist meili teel Eliisega, kes on seal projektijuhi ametipositsioonil ning kes on ise ka kirglik golfar. Panin ennast Green Card kursusele kirja, kuid just enne kursust murdsin jalaluu. Uskumatu te mõtlete, aga järgmisel hooajal kordus peaaegu sama lugu – seekord murdus hüppeliiges. Jälle pidin kursuse ära jätma. Alles kolmanda katsega kui end uuesti kursusele registreerisin, pidas tervis vastu ja sain minna. Kolm on kohtu seadus nagu öeldakse. Kolmandal aastal nägin lõpuks Eliise ka päriselt ära ning tänu temale olen ma golfis ka väga palju arenenud.

 

Kuidas enda Green Card kursust kirjeldaksid ning kes oli Sinu treener? 
Enne kursust mõtlesin endamisi, et “Mis ta siis ära ei ole!” Otseloomulikult tundus see kõik mulle väga lihtne. Reaalsus oli aga hoopis teine. Algus oli väga raske ja lausa õudne. Kursuselgi mõtlesin, et ma ei saa ju üldse pallile pihta.
Green Card kursust viis läbi Cristofer Herman. Pärast esmakohtumist temaga mõtlesin, kuidas ma sooviks, et ka minu poeg oleks tulevikus sama viisakas ja hooliv. Tema julgustav hääl ja head kombed võluvad iga inimese ära. 

Milline on Su kogemus trennidega? 
Mind treenisid toredad treenerid Torel Neider ja Cristofer Herman ning tänu neile saan tänaseks juba ka pallile pihta! 
Tunnen, et trennid on kõvasti kaasa aidanud. Muidugi saab igaüks end golfis teatud tasemele viia, kuid kui tahta vältida vigastusi ja ebakorrektset tehnikat kohe algusest ning soosida kiiremat enesearengut golfis, soovitan soojalt eratrennides aeg-ajalt käia. Oskan soovitada ka grupitrenni, mis hoiab hea tuju üleval motiveerivate treeningkaaslaste näol. Annab kindlasti lisatõuke mängutaseme parandamisele. 

Rae Golfis on mentorprogramm. Kas Sul oli alustades ka mentor?
Minu mentoriks oli toredal kombel mu enda klient ja üks väga äge naine Ellen Jundas, kuid esimesed golfiringid kulgesid üheskoos Eliisega. Soovitan just eriti algajale võtta trenne ning käia mängimas erinevate inimestega, sest igaüks õpetab erinevaid nippe ja kokku on võimalik tekitada korralik baas, mille pealt edasi õppida. Julgen mentorprogrammi soovitada! 

Millele keskendud uuel hooajal? 
Tänaseks saan enam vähem pallile pihta ning olen mõelnud, et nüüd võiks keskenduda löögipikkusele. Kindlasti võtan Rae Golfist veel juurde eratrenne. Oma graafiku mängin ka selliselt ümber, et saaks ikka võimalikult palju aega väljakul veeta. Rannas käimised on tänaseks igatahes asendunud golfi mängimisega. 

Miks just Rae Golf? 
Minu süda kuulub Rae Goflile. Mulle meeldib selle golfiklubi juures tema uudsus ja muidugi fakt, et ta on kodule nii lähedal, mängib siin väga suurt rolli. 

Kuidas kirjeldaksid Rae Golfi inimesi? 
Saan kõigiga väga hästi läbi. Mulle meeldib nende vaba suhtumine ning üleüldse on tegemist väga ägedate inimestega! 

Kelle Sa veel endaga golfi mängima oled meelitanud? 
Ma olen suutnud mõtte golfi mängimisest maha müüa oma abikaasale, 12-aastasele tütrele, ämmale, mehe vennale ja tema abikaasale. Uuest hooajast liitub Rae Golfiga ka minu 9-aastane poeg. 
Huvitav fakt on see, et kui alguses pakkusin golfimängu oma armsale abikaasale, oli ta väga vastu ning nimetas seda isegi vanainimeste alaks. Oletan, et tänasel päeval võivad veel paljud selliselt mõelda. Üsna pea sai talle selgeks tõsiasi, et reaalsus on teine – sai korra golfikepi kätte ja enam ei taha seda käest panna! 

Mis on Sinu jaoks golfi juures kõige nauditavam?
Muidugi meeldib mulle ka vahel üksi golfi mängida ja pead tuulutada, kuid kindlasti on kõige nauditavam seda teha üheskoos perega.
